Visual Studio 2008 performance goodness

If you haven't looked at what's new for 2008 for the performance tools. There are some nice things going on. The MSDN article on https://msdn2.microsoft.com/en-us/magazine/cc337887.aspx discusses some of them.

Comparing reports is useful, and some of my very favorites are noise reduction and automatic hot path highlighting, which dramatically cut down the cost of investigation when you have complex profiles and let you optimize your time improving the stuff that really matters.

If you're interested, you will of course want to subscribe to the RSS for the Enterprise Performance Tools Team (also look for the FAQs they have - those can come in handy).
