Back from the PDC

The PDC has come and gone, and good time was had by all. The atmosphere was super-charged, there was a lot of excitement about all that's coming, and a lot of cool technology was available.

For those of you interested in a crash course in Windows Presentation Foundation, Tim Sneath posted A Guided Tour of Windows Presentation Foundation on MSDN, with a link to the September CTP.

My own personal favorites from the PDC, apart from my baby, are the LINQ project, with fun extensions to the .NET languages, the Windows Workflow Foundation stuff, with a killer diagramming tool for workflows in addition to the runtime, and Microsoft Max, with a *very* polished UI - check out the Mantle View.
