It's expected that MapPoint's Web Service serves up maps from around the world, but when you want to get down to street level you are limited to the countries for which MapPoint has street level data . . . or are you? Today, MapPoint's Web Service has street level data for some continents/countries (see bottom of post). But in addition to that, MWS provides street level mapping for some specific cities around the world where we don't necessarily have street coverage for the entire country but found these cities to be important. This is somewhat buried in the SDK as a reference table (http://msdn.microsoft.com/library/en-us/mappointsdk/html/mpn35devTablesUrbanInsetLocations.asp). So, that's great I've brought it to light, but if you want to see the maps you have to build an application . . . no worries, here ya go: http://demo.mappoint.net/urbaninsets/webform1.aspx. The urban insets are found in the MapPoint.World data source (in addition to an entire world mapping set) and in order to get the urban insets you simply need to continue zooming down.
