Benefits of the Microsoft Partner Relationship

We have had two recent opportunities that came to us solely because of the investments we’ve made in our partnership with Microsoft.

The first was an opportunity with a firm in the nearby town of Strasburg.  They contacted us because they were looking for a local resource to assist with a Great Plains upgrade.  You may recall GP is not our area of expertise.  However, we brought in another partner and together we put together a combined package.  We proposed the server, Microsoft Small Business Server software, and other related hardware.  The partner proposed the GP upgrade as well as the labor to implement. 

Well, we won the deal (unfortunately the GP partner we introduced did not) and are looking at more opportunities in the future.  .

The second opportunity was with a firm out of Dallas, TX.  They were looking for a company to do custom application development.  They had done a pilot project that had been deemed a success and were ready to invest in the software necessary to allow them to go forward.  They had connections in the Northern Virginia area so they went to the Microsoft site.  They chose us to participate in the process from all of the other DC area companies because of our four Gold Certifications.  We still need to see how this deal shakes out, but we could be looking at hundreds of thousands of dollars in services if things break our way.

Just thought you might like to hear about some of the good that comes form our Microsoft partnership.  We wouldn’t have gotten a chance to bid on either of these opportunities without Microsoft.
