Great marketing effort...

ePartners is using an external event to create a perceived need among their customers and prospects. Very nice way to ride a wave...

Dear Valued Customer,

Last evening, Microsoft released its new web-browser, Internet Explorer 7.0 (IE). For this application, Microsoft has chosen to utilize Automatic Updates (AU) to push Internet Explorer 7.0 to all Windows XP and Windows Server 2003 machines. We anticipate that this automatic update will be pushed to customers by the end of October, so wanted to make sure that our valued customers are aware of the update along with potential impact in advance.

While Internet Explorer 7.0 has several positive features and a different architecture that will make it very desirable, there is potential impact to existing applications and environments that should be considered prior to upgrade. While many Microsoft applications have been tested for compatibility during the extensive beta process, there are older applications and third-party applications that are either no longer supported or have not been completely tested for IE 7.0.

Microsoft has provided some different mechanisms to minimize impact of the upgrade or to prevent the upgrade from occurring. ePartners can work with you to help determine what course of action is most appropriate depending upon your environment and to help act on that course of action.

If you are interested in speaking with us about assessing the environment prior to upgrade, please contact me at 703.488.3121 or by e-mail.

If you have run into issues with the Internet Explorer upgrade already, please contact our Customer Care Center at 1-866-866-0622.

We look forward to assisting you in leveraging the business benefits of Internet Explorer and corresponding technologies.
