SQL Server 2008 RC0 BIDS installation error
I was trying to install Business Intelligence Development Studio in my VPC, but I always receive an error during installation. After some research and log analysis I came across this thread in the connect website: https://connect.microsoft.com/SQLServer/feedback/ViewFeedback.aspx?FeedbackID=350304&wa=wsignin1.0
I couldn't find the VS Shell Update KB 945140 in my programs, so I tried to remove the "Microsoft Visual Studio 2008 Shell (integrated mode) - ENU". After rebooting my system I retried to install BIDS and it succeeded.
Note: I have VS 2008 SP1 Beta1 installed in my VPC before trying to install BIDS.
Eu estava tentando instalar o Business Intelligence Development Studio na minha VPC, mas sempre recebia um erro durante a instalação. Depois de um pouco de pesquisa e análise do log, eu cruzei com essa thread no site do connect: https://connect.microsoft.com/SQLServer/feedback/ViewFeedback.aspx?FeedbackID=350304&wa=wsignin1.0
Não consegui encontrar o VS Shell Update KB 945140 na lista de programas, então eu tentei remover "Microsoft Visual Studio 2008 Shell (integrated mode) - ENU". Depois de reiniciar o sistema, eu tentei novamente instalar o BIDS e dessa vez, com sucesso.
Nota: Eu tinha instalado o VS 2008 SP1 Beta1 na minha VPC antes de tentar instalar o BIDS.
