Samsung Innovation Quest Contest Announced

Looks like Samsung is putting a lot of programs in place for developers these days. They're running a contest called Innovation Quest and you can stand to win a a huge chunk of prize money that totals almost €240,000!!

Here are the details if you're interested:

Welcome to the Professional category of the Samsung Innovation Quest 07/08

Entrants:

Individual developers, Teams/Groups of developers and application developing companies.

Guidelines & Contest Timeline:

1 October 2007 : Samsung IQ launch / Entry submission starts.
Entrants are expected to attach a presentation file (ideally within 5 pages of a Microsoft PowerPoint file) which explains the application idea that is to be implemented on a Open OS (S60 version 3.2, Windows mobile 6 and Linux) platform based mobile device

23 November 2007 : Entry submission deadline

7 December 2007 : Final round entrants announced

10 – 14 March 2008 : Final demonstration period
Finalists are expected to demonstrate a 30 minute presentation(A working prototype is compulsory)

24 March 2008: Prize winners announced

Late-March 2008 : Prize award ceremony

Prizes:

Depending upon the caliber of entries received by the Sponsor in the Professional section of the Samsung IQ Contest for 07/08, Samsung Electronics intends to award the following prizes:-

Gold Prize: € 50,000

Silver Prize: € 40,000

Bronze Prize: € 30,000
