The Father of Norton Commander

Unbeknownst to me, one of the core developers of the Mobile Client Software Factory is John Socha-Leialoha and I found out recently that he was the father of Norton Commander during the good old days of DOS. Old school developers like myself will definitely know the impact that software had on our lives. Remember this screen?

Brings back memories!

On top of that achievement, John is also responsible for creating the first ever screen saver, called ScmSave. He even coined the term "screen-saver".

Blows my mind away. So here's a picture of me, standing next to my hero!

Thank you John, for your contribution to the IT Industry, my copying skills and for saving millions of monitors all over the world. You can read his blog here: https://www.socha.com/blogs/john/

(p.s. actually, John was responsible for burning many monitors with his screen-saver because of some issues with certain video cards.)
