This past year has been a incredible year for additional solutions for Microsoft Dynamics AX. This week makes the worldwide general availability of Microsoft Dynamics AX for Retail. You can read more about the release here.
This is a great solution for customers looking for an end to end retail solution. From POS through to Back Office ERP. What is unique here is that the retail solution is an extension of the core Microsoft Dynamics AX. Customers are not deploying different solutions for different parts of their business. If they need to breadth of functionality in Microsoft Dynamics AX they can now get it with extended retail functionality.
This is a great example of the simplicity in the Microsoft Dynamics AX architecture. Simple in the way we can extend our code base. The same way our partners can also provide extensions and vertical solutions. This enables customers to have one system and one view of their business without having to invest in systems integration and maintenance of those integrations.
