Microsoft a lancé WebAI hier en beta version, à partir du nouveau site Microsoft Web.
WebAI, au même titre que WebPI (Platform Installer), fait partie de Microsoft Web Platform , un nouveau socle pour accélérer le déploiement d’applications Web de toutes natures (PHP, ASP.Net, etc).

“Web AI provides support for popular ASP.Net and PHP Web applications including Graffiti, DotNetNuke, WordPress, Drupal, OSCommerce and more. With just a few simple clicks, Web AI will check your machine for the necessary pre-requisites, download these applications from their source location in the community, walk you through basic configuration items and then install them on your computer.”

Les “system requirements”:
  • Supporté sur Windows Vista RTM, Windows Vista SP1, Windows Server 2008.
  • Vous devez avoir des privilèges “Administrator” sur l’ordinateur pour exécuter Web Platform Installer Beta;
  • .NET 2.0 Framework;
  • Architectures supportées: x86 et 64-bit (x64, amd64; pas Itanium par contre).
