And the fourth video’s now up on Channel9.

Robert just posted the fourth of the videos he shot last month.

This one's short, about the hardest problem I've solved.

What’s amazing to me is how surprised people are about these. This is just how you are: full of stories and anecdotes that explain fairly complicated ideas and happenings in interesting and comprehensible ways.

I’m just pleased other people are realizing the treasure hiding underneath that beard. I’ve known for a long time how neat you are.

Sappy? yeah, but did you really expect anything else?

You know Larry, the world needs more people like you. I think Microsoft has them all though. Every single Microsoft employee I have ever met are all good guys. I have never met a bad one.

I finally got around to watching all the videos, they are very entertaining. It’s nice to put a face and personality to the blog.

Jeff, that’s exactly why I love my job. People here are interesting, passionate, smart, intellectually curious.

I hung out with the SQL Server and the SharePoint services teams today. Lots of fun.

    Check out my moblog:

Every single one of these devices to the left is a 12GB hard drive. Amazing to be surrounded by 12GB hard drives.

By the way, the fifth and final video will be up tomorrow.

FWIW, Soner was my boss back in Exchange-land, from 1997ish to 2000. He’s an amazingly cool person.

What you’ve experienced during your time at Microsoft is just amazing. The pranks just blew me away. Nice! 😀 If I pulled a prank like that in my current position I would probably be fired… out of a cannon… into the sun. Have a nice weekend!

Let me repeat my comment on C9:

Larry for CSA/CEO! (but that wouldn’t be so much fun for you, so pass on that one).

Oh, and the NT4 network neighborhood thingy: you’re forgiven 😀

Me and my team have been watching all the videos so far, it’s disconcerting when the younger developers say "Can I have HIM as my mentor instead?".

Do you have a protege Larry?

    you are awesome!

i found this blog via channel 9. the video interview is an instant classic. i think you should do another one about the dozen or so projects you are currently juggling..

also really enjoying your current posts re: what is pc audio anyway? been looking for some of these answers for quite some time now. would it be possible to see some sample code, say a basic synthesizer implementation. given a certain frequency and duration, output a wav file..that sort of thing.

ok, thanks a lot and much respect
