Hyper-V Management Packs Monitor issues

When you Import Hyper-V 2008 and Hyper-V 2012R2 Management Packs on the same Operations Manager Management Group you will get the following warnings from every Hyper-V 2012R2 Server.

This warnings happend because the there are

2 Monitors which are bind to the Class Hyper-V Virtual Network,

3 Monitors which are bind to the Class Hyper-V Virtual Network Adapter

1 Monitor which is bind to the Class Hyper-V Virtual Hard Disk

1 Rule which is bind to the Class Server running Hyper-V 2012

which are also used for the Hyper-V 2012R2 Environment. The big Problem now is that there are some changes at the Hyper-V enventlogs in Hyper-V 2012R2 and the following eventlogs are missing.

Hyper-V-Network-Admin

Hyper-V-Image-Management-Service-Admin

What you can do is for example to disable the following Monitors for the “Windows Server 2012 Computer Group”

Class Name Type
1 Hyper-V Virtual Network Port Connectivity  Monitor
2 Hyper-V Virtual Network Port Disconnectivity  Monitor
3 Hyper-V Virtual Network Adapter Static MAC Address  Monitor
4 Hyper-V Virtual Network Adapter Dynamic MAC Address  Monitor
5 Hyper-V Virtual Network Adapter Mac Address  Monitor
6 Hyper-V Virtual Hard Disk Mounted Drive Read-only  Monitor
6 Server running Hyper-V 2012 Hyper-V MPE 2012 Live Migrations Failures  Rule
