Laying low at PDC

I've been in Los Angeles since Friday, catching a little vacation with family prior
to the PDC.  Since Monday, it's been PDC non-stop.

It never ceases to amaze me how at Microsoft events - be they customer-focused (like
PDC) or internal (like MGB) - how you can run into your friends and cowokers quite
often in a sea of over 7,000 people.

It's bittersweet to see the number of sessions that are simply full.  On one
hand, I'm thrilled that there is so much interest and demand from our customers.
That is very heartwarming.  On the otherhand, it can't be good for overall customer
satisfaction ... and if you're a customer who was standing outside one of the rooms
trying to catch the session on the TV monitors, I feel your pain as I was right there
with you at times.  At least someone thought to put the monitors outside each
room.
