Cool Mobile App: Microsoft Tag

Just found out about Microsoft Tag from Jeff Blankenburg’s blog.  Microsoft Tag is a cool technology that can link the physical world to the online world.  It runs on multiple phone platforms and only uses the camera in your cell phone.  Simply snap a picture of the tag, and people are connected to your online presence.  Jeff shows some pretty cool ideas for Tag, including a “Download this song” tag at a concert.  I can imagine tags on products at Home Depot that link to Do It Yourself videos, tags at theme parks that show information about a ride such as history of the ride, wait times, suggestions for similar rides, and a whole mess of other things.

In short, this is really cool.
