The Job Situation

Things have started popping for me after a month of unemployment. I did a free training seminar yesterday that landed a 15-seat training course on ASP.NET. I am really excited about this bit of work. I have also gotten several promising calls and emails, and am flying out to Washington, DC, for an interview with a consulting firm on Friday. Things are looking up, but I will be a lot more comfortable when someone says, "You start on Monday."

Chattanooga Tonight

Tonight I am speaking in Chattanooga, Tennessee, at the Chattanooga .NET User Group. The presentation is on Exceptions in .NET. I will be giving away several copies of my book, XML And ASP.NET.

Chapter Eternal

Yesterday, I attended a funeral for a Pi Kappa Alpha fraternity brother, Chris Jackson. He was 28, and survived by his wife and 2 sons, ages 7 and 4 months. ffka forever, Chris.
