Probably no more important MIX than this year’s

Well, it’s that time again. MIX is an important event where we show our thinking and direction for the web. Again targeted at designers and web developers, this event continues to bring in voices from the online companies – like frog design, Yahoo!, MySpace, Baidu, ESPN.com, Adobe, Digg, Facebook, schematic, Netflix, Fidelity, NASA, Amazon.com, and many, many more.

This year Bill Buxton (famous for his research around multi-touch and HCI) will be the keynote speaker. He works in MS Research now, and has several popular writings like Sketching User Experiences (2007). I can’t wait to see what he talks about. Plus, Scott Guthrie will also participate as a keynote speaker.

But, what is MIX about? It’s about showing how Microsoft is enabling you to take advantage of the web.

Breakout sessions will touch topics like: Silverlight 3, Windows 7, Windows Azure, Live Framework, Live Mesh, Expression, AJAX, REST/WCF, Eclipse, Internet Explorer, WPF, SharePoint, modeling, workflow, and a myriad of design/UX topics.

Register soon as this event always fills up. There is a early bird deadline of February 13th.
