Product RTM vs. Product Launch

After posting about the Launch Gadget, I got an email from someone confused over rumors of the RTM date as opposed to the launch date. The launch date is when we celebrate a new product. It is not necessarily when we release the product. In the case of VS 2008 being released, that was also clarified today. VS 2008 will be released in November 2007 - but we will celebrate the launch wave in FEB 2008!

Additionally, the first CTP of the Microsoft Sync Framework was also revealed today.
