All alone in the night

Some disheartening Feedster results:

  • “Microsoft Management Summit”: my introduction, a couple of analysts, and some job postings

  • “MMS 2004”: zero, nada, nothing

Yep, that’s right, the ANALYSTS are doing more blogging about our upcoming conference than anyone else.  In fact, if you want to know what to expect, you could do a lot worse than reading Mary Jo Foley’s excellent piece from Microsoft Watch a year ago.

  1. Hi there,

I’m one of the lead guys on Feedster. Oy. Last night was a bad, bad thing. We had tons of traffic yesterday. Tons. So we scheduled an upgrade with our hosting company and they did something wrong. Majorly freaking wrong. Unbelievably wrong.

And that took us down for a while until we discovered the issue, screamed and got them to fix their mistake.

We’re back up now and working on improving our performance.

    My apologies.

    Scott

  2. Birthday celebrations are tough, eh? Congratulations 🙂

Anyway, I don’t feel so alone now that your better-faster-stronger Feedster found one other guy talking about MMS 2004: http://www.drimple.net/archives/000350.html

(And like there’s any choice, Jon – the clear solution is to attend SWSXI first to get those creative juices flowing, and then head on to MMS to put them to good work)

  3. Point taken, Jeremy – see my latest post for my thoughts (http://blogs.msdn.com/jonathanh/archive/2004/03/10/87746.aspx, since it doesn’t look like .Text lets us embed raw HTML in comments)
