Announcing: The SQL Server Report Pack for SharePoint Portal Server 2003
The Microsoft® SQL Server Report Pack for Microsoft® Office SharePoint® Portal Server 2003 is a set of predefined report definition files that work with a sample database of information extracted from a SharePoint Portal Server environment. The sample database can be populated from your own SharePoint Portal Server environment using the included Data Extraction Program (DEP). The DEP will read the SharePoint Portal Server data via the object model and will also parse the Microsoft Windows® SharePoint Services and Microsoft Internet Information Services (IIS) logs (the IIS logs are parsed using the downloadable IIS Log Parser). You can use the sample reports “as-is” or as templates for designing new reports.
There are eight predefined reports that cover the search, site trend and content storage functions of the SharePoint environment. These reports provide a proactive means for monitoring the status of their SharePoint Portal Server environment. The site trend and content storage provide insight into the growth and allocation of server content. With this information an administrator can predict the need for more database and hard drive storage. The search reports provide keen insight into what words and phrases are being used in search. These keywords can be used to tune the best bets and keywords, as well as suggest ways to improve the overall navigation of their portal deployments.

Comprehensive Site Collections Report |
Shows the list of site collections, who owns the collection, configurable characteristics about the owner and the date the collection was last accessed. You can click on a site collection to go to the Detailed Site Collection Report. |

Shows top 20 pages accessed (based on hit count) for this site collection. You can click on a page to go to the Detailed Page Report. |
