Microsoft Word, AutoCaption, and land speed Vespa record

I was trying to figure out something with respect to AutoCaption in Word, and I found MakekTips, a site with tips for Windows, other things Microsoft, and a sprinkling of general technologies like HTML. There is a fairly well stocked area just for Word (97, 2000, XP, and 2003). It's all run by Andrew Malek.

It's encouraging to read his About page where he says he worked for company X, company Y, and now runs his own show. Go Andrew! I believe he is from Chicago.

Went to Seattle yesterday to get the rear tire changed on her 150cc Vespa ET4.

It is so fun to drive. Hers is actually mint green (exactly like mint ice cream). I once got it up to 77 miles per hour on flat ground. It helped that I am 123 lbs.

Scooters and mopeds are a blast. I have witnessed moped "gangs". No joke. When I used to live in France in 1985, I once saw these salty looking characters with the leather, chains, the whole deal: riding 75cc mopeds with the extended fork, like custom choppers.

'My wife and I went to the Sturgis rally in South Dakota in 1994 (not on our Vespa!). The folks there were quite kind. The number of motorcycles was staggering.

Rock Thought for the Day: It's hard for me to think of the Sturgis rally and big hog bikes without thinking of Bob Seger and the Silver Bullet Band . That raspy blues-rock voice is one of a kind. You need to hear his song, "Roll me away". Live to Ride!
