Call It 32 Inches

My father in law walked up the street to a construction site where they were lowering a house back onto its new foundation and asked them how far apart to place the foundation bolts. Turns out that the builders didn't know where to make the foundation bolts 48" OC and where to make them 32" OC, so they were going to bolt the whole thing at 32" OC. What's funny is that, in some places, the bolts probably need to be 24" OC and in others 10" OC. We'll see if they pass inspection.

In any event, work began this evening and we tore down some of the 1/4" plywood that covers the pony wall in the basement. More tomorrow.
