A simple tip for working on multiple monitors

This question came through my email this week:

"I am using Windows 8 and want to dock OneNote to a different monitor. Is this possible and how can I do it?"

The answer is yes, this is possible. It's actually a feature in Windows 8 - these steps will work for Notepad just as well as OneNote.

No lengthy steps to this either. Just drag the OneNote (or Notepad) window to the edge of the monitor where you want it. When you get near the edge, a little "ghost preview" (I don't know what the actual word is) appears to show you where the app will snap into place. Just let go and that's it.

Here's an image of what it looks like when I dock OneNote to the far right of my rightmost monitor:

I hope this helps someone else out there. Be sure to let me know.
