Update 03/Apr/2014

You will read in kb article 2817429 and 2817439

Notice
We have recently uncovered an issue with this Service Pack 1 package that may prevent customers who have Service Pack 1 from deploying future public or cumulative updates. As a precautionary measure, we have deactivated the download page until a new package is published.

As soon we have more information, we will update you.

##########################################

For all our Office Server 2013 products we can offer now the first service pack SP1.

Updated 03/Mar/2014

In case you have a SharePoint Foundation 2013 Server, you need only the SP1 for Foundation and of course language packs for Foundation SP1.

For our full SharePoint 2013 Server you only need the SharePoint Server SP1 package. There is no need to install Foundation SP1 because it is included in the Full Server SP1. Same is valid for the additional SP1 language packs you may need when having at least one additional LP installed.

For Project Server 2013 you need the SharePoint Server 2013 SP1 and LP SP1 packages and the Project SP1.

Our KB articles for your reference:

  • KB 2880551 – SharePoint Foundation 2013 SP1
  • KB 2880555 – SharePoint Foundation 2013 Language Packs SP1
  • KB 2880552 – SharePoint Server 2013 SP1
  • KB 2880554 – SharePoint Server 2013 Language Packs SP1
  • KB 2880553 – Project Server 2013 SP1
  • KB 2880558 – Office Web Apps Server 2013 SP1

Service Pack 1 also includes a rollup of all Cumulative Updates through December 2013, and all Public Updates through January 2014.

When our next April 2014 CU will be available it can be installed on top of SP1.

  1. Daniel Harris says:

I read through the 'Issues Fixed by Service Pack 1' link above, but noticed that it does not include the SkyDrive Pro (OneDrive) client which is of course installed with Office 2013. I know that it is renamed with SP1, but I heard that it also handles file system metadata differently when copying local files to OneDrive. So do you know where these changes are documented?

  2. Joerg_Sinemus says:

Can only find support.microsoft.com/…/2817430 and OneDrive for Business is a client product.

  3. WisdomGuidedByExperience says:

Since SP 2013 cannot be installed on Server 2012 R2, when can we expect a downloadable ISO of SharePoint 2013 "With Service Pack 1" ?

  4. Sathish says:

Thanks for the links. But the links to SharePoint Foundation 2013 Service Pack 1 and SharePoint Foundation 2013 Language Pack Service Pack 1 are interchanged. Currently they are pointing to wrong urls.

    Hi Joerg

do you know when the LanguagePacks with integrated SP1 will be availabel for download?

    Thanks, Bruno

  7. Joerg_Sinemus says:

I cannot see information about LP's with SP1 integrated.

  8. Matt says:

I see all the new SP1 features in SharePoint, but the big one that we were waiting for to be fixed, namely that publishing page web part zones are not editable in IE 11 still has not been addressed? I create a standard MS publishing web, edit a standard web part page, and I can see the zones in Chrome or Firefox, but not in IE 11.

  10. Aileen says:

Please advise if there is a tentative date when the new package for SharePoint Server 2013 SP1 will be published?

  11. frobnitzz says:

    Hi,

I assume it is, but for the sake of clarity Is the slipstream version impacted by the issues found in the separate update package? I've just checked and it's still available for download on the Volume Licence site.

    Thanks,

    John

  12. Joerg_Sinemus says:

Slipstream versions are not impacted and therefore still available.

  13. frobnitzz says:

Thanks Joerg, it would be really great if that could be made obvious on the KB for SP1 (support.microsoft.com/…/2817429).

  14. Anthony NHN says:

    Hi,

Please advise when SharePoint service pack 1 will be available again ? Can we just install the latest stable cumulative update in Dec 2014 as an interim solution ( blogs.technet.com/…/december-2013-cu-for-sharepoint-2013-has-been-released.aspx ) ?

  15. TechTrendsIT says:

Microsoft Office SharePoint Server (MOSS) sits on top of WSS and adds additional features, both to the underlying WSS layer as well as additional ways for the end-user to interact with the repository.

  17. Shah says:

Is there some download link of ISO for Full SharePoint 13 Plus service pack 1

    -Shahzad

  18. Shah says:

With reference to my last comments , I am referring Enterprise version. Means SP Enterprise 13 with SP 1 as one ISO file.

  19. Joerg_Sinemus says:

SharePoint Foundation 2013 is available here: http://www.microsoft.com/…/details.aspx and for downloading the Server version you should be able by using your MSDN subscription or from the Enterprise download area, check your contract details.
