After applying the preceding updates, run the SharePoint Products and Technologies Configuration Wizard or “psconfig –cmd upgrade –inplace b2b -wait” in command line. This needs to be done on all servers in the farm with SharePoint installed. New since SPS2010 is that you can run psconfig in parallel on all SharePoint machines.

  1. bwelmers says:

the KB articles for MSF2010 refferenced in 2394323 do not actually exist. (Ok so one of them does exist but all the other articles do not exist).

I would like to know what this Cumulative update does.

  2. The kb article 2394323  exists. Which one does not exists?

  3. bwelmers says:

I agree KB 2394323 does (did since I can not get to it now using IE 9) exist. But the next level of KBs do not exist. In 2394323 there were 7 links to KBs that were contained in the CU. I was only able to view one of them (the one about the translation issues for the Muti lingual packs). The rest whent to the Microsoft Search page saying the KB did not exist.

Intereting before i posted this I decided to try it again. I was able to get to kb 2394323 with Chrome but not IE 9. But even so I was only able to get to 2 of the 7 sub KB articles.

  4. SharePoint Hangover says:

Yes why are the hotfixes not available and the documentation is poor at best….please add detail for us to know what these fix.

  5. When the hotfixes are not available there is often a technical problem behind. Any availability of a KB article depends on the team who is able to submit these for the public. Sometimes we have a delay but I do not want to wait for everything but want to inform as soon as possible when we know the right public information.

  6. SharePoint Hangover says:

Can you please tell us what migth have been fixed in this newest release?  You seem to have posted a newer fix but I am trying to figure out exactly what migth be broken.  I have many new errors and not sure the casue.  Your release notes are lacking to say the least.

  7. I posted only the availability of the new packagesand the reasons why the OCT CU was on hold has been solved. More information why this has happened please read on the official SharePoint Team blog.
