Installation Issue with KB960010 December CU package

The issue:

The wrong package was uploaded on the download server for KB 960010. When upgrading, customers might experience an issue while doing PSConfig: Error message in upgrade log is as follows:

[SPSearchDatabase Name=WSS_Search_DBNAME Parent=SPDatabaseServiceInstance Name=OfficeServers] failed.
[SPManager] [ERROR] [12/18/2008 9:48:22 AM]: Object reference not set to an instance of an object.

    I installed this update and got the error.  After I downloaded the update again, it says that there are no products on this server that are affected by this update.  Now what?
