People say a steep driveway is not a selling point… those people don’t sled

These were taken last night in sammamish where we got a (for us) crazy 5 inches of snow.

I know there are those of you that live in Seattle that think it’s crazy that 1/4″ of snow can shut down a city, but the road leading up to our house is a sheet of ice on a steep incline and a snowmobile just drove by!  We’re stuck here for now and so are a bunch of other “eastsiders.”

    Cool pics!

I barely made it home last night.  We only got about 2" over here in Kirkland, but it’s a layer of ice underneath it.  My car is horrible for this weather.

It’s understandable that it shuts down the area.  Unlike where I’m originally from (Indiana) there are no snow plows or salt trucks, because this doesn’t usually happen.  It was hard to explain to my parents that the city doesn’t have snow plows or salt trucks.  😉

Hmm…. I passed a snowplow and salt truck on the way in this morning, and that was just on a side road near work (40th st).

So, Redmond at least seems prepared. I had an ok trip into work. Then again, I did need the 4wd at a few sections.
