Code Camp AND SQL Saturday–Oct 20th

All roads lead to geekdomIt’s a busy Saturday in the Greater Boston area, as two significant (and free!) geek gatherings occur about 40 miles from each other.

SQL Saturday Nashua is being held from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at Rivier University – Education Center Building in Nashua, New Hampshire.   The event comprises a full docket of 24 sessions on all things SQL, with two short (15-20 minute-ish) “Speed Networking and Raffle Sessions” to mix things up!

As I’m writing this post, it appears they are at their capacity of 200 with a growing waitlist, but don’t let that dissuade you, as cancellations on the eve of such events are quite common.  So go ahead and check out the session schedule and get your name on the wait list.

Just down the road, the 18th Boston Code Camp will be taking place in its new location, the New England Research and Development Center (NERD), at 1 Memorial Drive in Cambridge.  For those of you familiar with the venue, we’ll be using the 1st floor conference center as well as the 10/11th floor commons area; registration and opening session will be on the 1st floor.

Code Camp starts at 8 a.m. with coffee and donuts and will run until about 5:45 or so. The current schedule lists 35 different sessions. There are still some attendee spots open, but the event is nearing its capacity, so register now to reserve your spot. By the way, those coming by car should be advised that the Head of Charles Regatta is also this weekend, and portions of Memorial Drive will be closed to traffic.
