It’s (Azure) Camping Time!

Windows Azure Camps

Brian, Peter, and I are packing our bags for another round of camping in the cloud, and hope you can join us as we cover a number of topics on Windows Azure. We’re tying in a great lab too, so you’ll get some hands-on experience to boot – don’t forget your laptop and power cord!

There are three stops this go around, with a random two of us showing up at each of the sites:

May 24thAlpharetta, Georgia  (yes that’s tomorrow folks!)

May 30thReston, Virginia

May 31stIselin, New Jersey

All three of these are Microsoft offices, and since I’ve been to none of them yet, I’m looking forward to meeting some new folks and talking cloud. Here’s a brief outline of what we’ll be covering

The Azure Platform – An Overview

Hands on @home with Azure – save a bit of time on site for this one by provisioning a free Windows Azure Account NOW and download the Windows Azure Tools for Visual Studio before you come to the event.

Caching – A Scalable Middle Tier

SQL Azure, Data Sync, and Reporting

Windows 8 and Azure – Better Together

If you’re not in the areas we’re hitting this time around, don’t fret.  We’ll certainly be doing more events in the future.  Keep tabs on the Microsoft Dev Camps site so you’re in the loop as new events are scheduled for Windows Azure (as well as for the Web, Windows Phone 7, and Windows 8)!
