HTML5 and CSS3 support in Visual Studio 2010

Just a quick post to pass on the release of the Web Standards Update for Visual Studio 2010 SP1 (and for Visual Web Developer Express).   If you’re like me, you learn by doing, and with this update you’ll get Intellisense and validation for the more common HTML5 features like

• Video and audio tags,
• Drag and drop support,
• Microdata,
• Input types (e-mail, url, date, etc.),
• and more,

as well as intellisense and validation for CSS3 modules like:

• 2D and 3D Transforms,
• Animations,
• Fonts,
• Background and borders,
• Multi-column,
• Marquee (apparently everything old is new again!),
• Selectors,
• Transitions,
• and a host of others.

Additionally, browser API support includes geo-location and local storage (which we’ve been supporting since IE 8).
