That’s just what inspires these amazing students from around the world to put their minds and spirit into the Imagine Cup competition. Now in its seventh year, the global, year-long competition challenges students to apply technology to help address the world’s toughest challenges, including
- ending poverty and hunger
- universal education
- gender equality
- child and maternal health
- combating AIDS and HIV
Microsoft’s New England Research and Development Center in Cambridge will play host to the 15 student teams from across this country as they compete in the US finals. On Monday, May 4th at the Microsoft facility, their projects will be featured as part of a Community Showcase, essentially an open house for the Boston community to meet the students and experience their innovation and passion for technology first hand.
If you have children or grandchildren in high school, middle school, or even younger, please stop by. You never know what kind of inspiration the experience may spark, and for those of you with daughters, note that for the first time ever there’s an all female team.
