Could'a been the Azure.
Might'a been the F#,
Could'a been the three or four partners,
I don't know, but look at the time we spent,
My head is full of .NET,
I think I'm gonna code,
oh me, oh me, oh my, wasn't that an MDC!
I know, I know... don't quit my day job for a songwriting career, but if you were one of the nearly 500 people at the Sheraton Boston yesterday for the MSDN Developer Conference, you know what I'm talking about.
It was a great day of tech talks, keynotes, and community gathering around all of the recent technology announcements from Microsoft: Azure Services, Oslo, ASP.NET 4.0 and more, presented by some awesome speakers and industry experts like Richard Hale Shaw, Jesse Liberty, and Fritz Onion, to name just a few. It was great to be a part of it and have a chance to reconnect with a lot of folks I've met since joining Microsoft as well as quite a few from my days at Sybase.
I really don't see how it could have gone smoother, and that's due to the superb folks at the helm of the event, namely Chris Bowen, the Boston city lead, and Bob Familiar, who spearheaded all eleven MDC events across the country. Be sure to give them a quick pat-on-the-back and thank-you next time you see them!
Now on to New England Data Camp v1.0 tomorrow!
