A friend and mentor, Scott Dart, aka Microsoft’s Grandmaster of Funk was highlighted earlier this year. Scott plays baritone sax for DoctorfunK, a high-energy funk/soul/R&B band with five horns, a rhythm section, and vocals. Their second CD is about to come out and they even played at the Muckleshoot Casino on December 26th with the former lead vocalist of Oakland funk legends Tower of Power.

A Microsoftie, Scott spends time with many bands, hobbyist, semi-pro and pro helping them to up the ante when it comes to performance. He often sits in as a featured soloist with the Microsoft Jazz Band like he did in this video.
