Scott Adams on becoming a better writer

Scott Adam's "The Day You Became a Better Writer" is a great read and bonus, it's short. :o)

"Business writing is about clarity and persuasion. The main technique is keeping things simple. Simple writing is persuasive. A good argument in five sentences will sway more people than a brilliant argument in a hundred sentences. Don’t fight it."

What can I say? The man speaks to me.

    Hi Jim,

In your opinion, does someone that is going to be working with MS CRM need have to have prior experience specifically in MS CRM?  I have a candidate that has extensive CRM experience, but it is building customized solutions with VB 6 and he has extensive .Net experience.

I know you don’t know the whole scenerio, but from first glance, would a senior developer more than likely fail as a .Net MS CRM Developer or have a good chance at success?

Thanks for giving me your opinion!!

Based on what you’ve said this person sounds like an excellent candidate to become a MS CRM dev. The skills she/he already has are transferable but the most important aspect I looked at when hiring was, "Is this person passionate about CRM, or is it just a job to her/him." Good luck with this.
