Spamming the Bloggers

I knew there was some spam problems associated with being a blogger, but I had no idea how bad it was until I started this blog. I get 30 to 50 comment SPAMs a day now. I have only been blogging for a couple of weeks. I reported the IP address to my host rep, but to no avail; the comment e-mails just keep coming. And I can't just delete the sender because that is provided by my host and I would lose all beneficial comments.

I read this article called Can blog spam be solved like email spam? The author makes the process of fixing this problem look insurmountable. And maybe it is. Just let me say that httr://www.53dy.com is making most bloggers I know pay by spewing their comment spam into our inboxes. :o(

The e-mail looks like this:

Fortunately I choose to moderate incoming comments to save you from wading through what would now be hundreds of these comments. In the time it took me to write this blog I received eight more comment spams. Thanks for letting me vent.
