Testing Testing...

Ok I guess we are on. My name is John Gallardo (clever that, it matches the title). As of today I have been working at Microsoft for just over 2 years as an SDET (Software Design Engineer in Test) in the SQL Server Engine team. Most of my work has been related to the new XML Datatype that we are introducing in SQL Server 2005. I spend most of the day working with things like XQuery, XML Schema and their interactions with the "core" relational engine in SQL Server.

At any rate, I hope that you find some of the information that I throw up here useful. I am going to try to update at least weekly and provide answers to common questions that I see floating around concerning the XML Datatype in SQL Server 2005, along with various other areas which I am interested in.
