Facebook Chat on IE9

InternetExplorer9To celebrate the launch of Internet Explorer 9 this week, I’m going to be doing a live Facebook Chat on IE9 on March 17 (tomorrow) from 2:30-3:30pm Eastern time.  This is the first time that I’ve done a live Facebook chat (which is a text-only format); I’m curious to see how it goes.

You can register and get all of the info at https://on.fb.me/IE9ChatJM

If you can’t access Facebook at work tomorrow to tune in, never fear.  You can download IE9 from https://bit.ly/hUMmuM.  Also, I will have a series of in-depth blog posts on IE9 site pinning coming up on my blog shortly.

The official abstract for the talk follows:

Join us tomorrow at 11:30 am PDT for our live chat event on the User Community Facebook Page. Jennifer Marsman, Principal Developer Evangelist at Microsoft, will be chatting live about developing your websites to take advantage of the new features in Internet Explorer 9. Learn how you can create rich, immersive experiences using HTML5 and understand how you can extend your website experience beyond the browser using pinned sites. Be prepared to ask questions and learn about the next phases of web design and development with our expert! Please RSVP to the event here.

One last fun fact on this topic:  there’s a contest running to create your best HTML5 app for a chance to win over $40,000 in prizes!  https://t.co/aHPS7vI
