SkyFire Browser

image

This looks interesting… a browser for Windows Mobile devices that also supports full audio, video, images, dynamic Flash content, advanced Ajax, Java and more

Skyfire are just about to launch a private beta which you can sign up for.

If you are in the US then you can sign up now… us Europeans and other countries will have to watch the video and wait 🙁

  1. Looks very cool! We have created a page here for more info:

looks similar to Deepfish. unfortunately they went one step ahead and have announced it.

pity MS didn’t push it further up.

This looks awesome, but as droll says, it’s similar too Deepfish and that seems to have gone quiet. If SkyFire works as well as the demo implies, then I’ll be in the queue. I tend to turn images off whilst browsing on a mobile device because they’re slow and a big hit on the data footprint of each page. I wonder how SkyFire renders when it doesn’t have the images.

Maybe Microsoft won’t buy them out because if they do, they’ll probably find a way to cripple or screw up all of the functionality that was shown here. – Now, if only my Treo 700wx had a larger screen…
