O2 XDA Argon Review

ZDnet have just published a review of the new O2 XDA Argon device.

I think this device is suffering an identity crisis where many customers are struggling to see the innovation in it compared to some of the new devices that are now coming available.  The reality of the Argon is that it is targeting a different customer to the individual user.

The Argon is really filling a gap for many customers of a basic Windows Mobile device with a a fairly large screen.  Most new devices are getting smaller or bigger and there has been a lot of demand for a 3.5″ screen device with GPRS integrated.

Maybe it’s me, but O2 always seem to be one step behind the other UK networks when it comes to devices.

Don’t get me wrong, the service is great, but I’m not banking on them offering phones like the HTC Kaiser any time soon…

It makes me wonder what actually goes on behind the scenes between the operators and the phone manufacturers.
