Unaware Driver + Traffic + BlackBerry = Accident waiting to happen

I spotted this article over on Engadget about a guy who while playing around with his BlackBerry in the express lanes on the I-5 in Seattle caused a pile-up that involved 28 passengers.  Thankfully no-one was hurt!

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

In the UK we've had people killed when someone's been texting whilst driving!

I have a long commute to the Microsoft office in Reading as I live about 80 miles away (each way) and I see some shocking examples where people are reading the paper and I even saw a lady eating a a bowl of cereal in the fast lane!

The bottom line is that things like Mobile devices are about giving people control and access but using them whilst driving is just plain stupid!

Engine On = Phone Off!
