Treonauts detailed review of Treo 700w

It's interesting to see the Treoauts.com view of the Treo 700w at the Treonauts site.

They've been blogging with some real indepth detail on the specification:

https://blog.treonauts.com/2005/12/treo_700w_speci.html

They higlight the major differences between the Treo 650 (Palm OS) and the Treo 700 are:

  1. 240x240 screen instead of 320x320
  2. Processor has same MHz (312) but chipset is PXA272 instead of 270
  3. Microphone has been moved next to multi-connector at the back (like on the Treo 600) instead of at the front on the Treo 650
  4. There is 88MB of total memory with about 65MB available
  5. Bluetooth v1.2
  6. Built-in high-speed EV-DO data support

They are also doing an indepth review of the functionality that Windows Mobile provides vs Palm OS.

If you read from the bottom up - you'll see that all starts well but then Andrew isn't very impressed with the Calendar/Contact functionality and flexibility in WM.

As the Treo 700w and the Treo 650/600 are almost the same form factor it's interesting to see an outsiders view of how far Windows Mobile has come!
