Get Your PDC On: November 17th – 19th, Los Angeles

The Professional Developers Conference (PDC) is one of those tech events where magic happens.  It’s aimage forward-looking conference with industry leader speakers which brings audiences from around the world to learn about the future of Microsoft’s platforms and the industry.

PDC doesn’t happen every year, so this may be your last opportunity to attend a PDC for a while.

There are currently early bird discounts with savings of $500 if you book by September 15th.  Along with the conference itself, which runs from Tuesday November 17th to Thursday November 19th, there are additional workshops providing content not available to the public.  Workshops include topics such as:

  • Software in the Energy Economy
  • Developing Microsoft BI Applications – the How and the Why
  • Architecting and Developing for Windows Azure
  • Getting the most out of Silverlight 3 (with Ian Griffiths, one of our top speakers at MIX Essentials Ireland!)
  • and much more.

The session schedule is already filling up with well-known speakers like Scott Hanselman, Mark Russinovich, Don Box, Chris Anderson and many more experts covering everything from Azure to Silverlight to VSTS and all that’s in between.

It looks like there are quite a lot of people heading over from Ireland.  An interesting thing about PDC is that even though it’s in Los Angeles, with the exchange rates the way they are, it often works out to be cheaper than TechEd and other similar conferences.

PDC is the most cutting-edge and most highly anticipated of any of the Microsoft conferences, so I strongly recommend you register today and save some cash while you’re at it.

There are some new entries on the PDC blog here: http://microsoftpdc.com/WhatsHappening and you can keep up to date with newly added sessions by following the RSS feed here: New Sessions.
