Updated Tailspin Travel demo shows off ASP.NET MVC 2

TailspinTravel

An updated version of the Tailspin Travel demo has been released that is focused exclusively on showing off some of the new features in ASP.NET MVC 2.

Tailspin Travel is a sample travel booking application, this version highlights the benefits of ASP.NET MVC 2, including DataAnnotations for Validation, Client-side validation, and use of ViewModels.

At the PDC back in November, when the demo was first built, it was meant to show off some of the more compelling features of Visual Studio 2010, .NET Framework 4, and the Windows Server AppFabric.

While the demo was great for highlighting integration scenarios between numerous technologies, we heard feedback that it contained too many components, and that it would be beneficial to create a couple of slimmed-down versions that could show off individual aspects/technologies of the demo.

Additionally, a large number of the developers looking to learn/evaluate the use of ASP.NET MVC 2 are still using Visual Studio 2008, so we wanted to make sure to provide them with an option. That means that the only requirement for developers to make use of this demo is (assuming they have VS2008 and SQL Express installed) the ASP.NET MVC 2 bits.
