FireFoxBugs

The report is out - Firefox accounted for almost half of all browser vulnerabilities in the first six months of 2009, according to California-based Cenzic – a leading web site security company.

Of the browser vulnerabilities tested, Mozilla's browser Firefox had 44 percent of the total, but perhaps the biggest surprise was Safari, which formed 35 percent of the browser vulnerabilities. Internet Explorer was third, with 15 percent, and Opera was at 6 percent.

Computerworld has an interesting article and interview with Cenzic’s CTO posted here.

Cenzic provides software and SaaS products to protect Websites against hacker attacks.  The report titled “Web Application Security Trends Report Q1-Q2, 2009” can be downloaded from: http://www.cenzic.com/downloads/Cenzic_AppSecTrends_Q1-Q2-2009.pdf
