This document provides developers with techniques for designing, developing, and deploying solutions within Microsoft® BizTalk® Server 2006 R2 in conjunction with Team Foundation Server. This paper was based on "Developing Integration Solutions with BizTalk Server" by Angus Foreman and Andy Nash and updated for BizTalk Server 2006 R2 and Team Foundation Server.

Who should read this guide:

  • Solution designers will gain understanding of the constituent parts of a BizTalk Server solution and the possible project structures used to develop BizTalk Server solutions.
  • Developers will gain an understanding of the process of developing a BizTalk Server solution in a team and learn techniques that can improve developer efficiency by getting the most out of Team Foundation Server.
  • Project managers will gain an overview of the main project phases and understand typical tasks when planning a BizTalk Server team development.

This guide assumes that the reader is familiar with BizTalk Server (2004 or higher) and Team Foundation Server and understands the core concepts of the products.

Also provided is a sample solution that leverages TeamBuild to compile, deploy and package the solution through TeamBuild 2008.

See this blog post for more information and a link downloads the materials.
