Take a look at http://www.lovelewisham.tv for an example of Silverlight streaming being used by the London Borough of Lewisham on their website. The thing to bear in mind that the videos being shown here :
a) They are not costing Lewisham any bandwidth at all - the videos are being streamed by us using a worldwide content delivery network. Anyone can stream video like this as long as they have a Live ID account (which is free of course, and if you use hotmail or Live messenger you already have one)
b) There is no Microsoft branding at all. Visitors to the site have no idea that this is hosted by Microsoft
c) The videos stream at a high bitrate and will scale to huge numbers seamlessly (and free of charge)
And that of course sums up the whole point of using Silverlight streaming: it's fast, it's free and it doesn't use our branding.
Good to see it already being used in the real world.....
