Online version of Official Windows Vista Magazine

Future Publishing have just sent me the link to their online version of the Official Windows Vista Magazine, running as an XBAP in WPF: http://wpf.windowsvistamagazine.co.uk/ttpdownload/browserapp.xbap

If you're running Windows Vista this will just work without you having to do anything else. Well, it did for me :-).

If you're on XP it requires the .NET Framework 3.0.

The technology on display is pretty cool and was used in the fantastic British Library app "turning the pages". See http://ttpdownload.bl.uk/ to witness this incredible app that allows you to see and interact with rare an precious books. When I used the British Library site to look at Da Vinci's codex, and Jane Austin's "History of England" the hair actually stood up on the back of my neck. It was an up-close-and-personal experience with treasures that I would never otherwise get to see.

It's kind of interesting to see the same technology used for both ancient books and the latest magazine....
