Products disappearing from MSDN Subscriber downloads at end of December

In case you missed it, we are removing a number of products from MSDN Subscriber downloads late December in order to comply with our agreement with Sun Microsystems re the Microsoft Java Virtual Machine (MSJVM).

I thought it worth highlighting this so that if you have an MSDN subscription, and you want to grab these products, do it quickly. The affected products are:

  • Visual Studio 6.0
  • Visual Sourcesafe 6.0
  • Windows 2000
  • Windows NT 4.0
  • Windows 98

A special exception has been made for Visual Basic 6.0 but note that this will be removed by June 30th 2006.

Note that support for existing users of these products will extend until Dec 31st 2007.
