Famous SharePoint URLs & Locations

Some times you want to jump right to a specific system list, page or go to the edit mode in a SharePoint site. I wanted to list all the famous urls I used for the past years and ask you to tell me about any other ones you know to add it here in the list. Other have already contributed a bunch 🙂

(Remember for SharePoint 2013, 2016 you might want to add "15", "16" respectively after "/_layouts/" but if you don't SharePoint will take care of that for you) .. Also some of these are turned off on Office 365 SharePoint online.

Add ?filter=1 behind the url of a SharePoint list and the list will open with the very useful filter toolbar above the column headers enabled already. Append this to urls to lists that you are sending via Email …

  20. JJo says:

Changing users can be done without the code:

Right clicking IE icon in the task bar

SHIFT + right click on Internet Explorer > Sign in as a different user.

    Thank me later

  21. Ahmed Farag says:

@JJo … Why thank you later if I can thank you now 🙂 … This is another way to login with a different account but it will change the user context for all the browser sessions. Also, you need permissions on the machine to do run as, in some scenarios you don't want to grant permissions to your own machine to login with another account. But his is certainly anther way of logging in with a different account. Thanks again
