My arsenal of resources for development on top of SQL Server and the Visual Studio Team System

Hello, everyone

Just wanted to share my arsenal of great resources I use during my development and proof of concept engagements with my customers. Hope you find these resources useful.

Visual Studio Team System for Database Professionals

I use Visual Studio Team System for Database Professionals a lot. I find it very useful and beneficial. However, it takes an everyday developer some time until s/he gets used to it. The following bookmarks should help you:

Visual Studio Team Foundation Server (TFS)

I love using TFS! Don't you? It makes sure that my database scripts are always up-to-date, keeps track of the changes I make to the database and tracks the work items I have to work on with my colleagues. Here are some great tools you can use:

  • Download TeamPlain Web Access
TeamPlain Web Access is a web interface for Microsoft® Team Foundation Server that allows managing work items, shared documents, reports and source control repositories. Now that Microsoft has acquired DevBiz, the company who produces TeamPlain, you can download and use this tool for free (as long as you have licensed your copy of TFS).
