CardSpace UI not popping up

What could go wrong when cardspace UI is not popping up? You can see if you have card space UI working properly on your box by go to Control Panel->Windows CardSpace. The correct behavior is that your window will grey out, and a highlighted window in the center shows up, and it tells you about cardspace. However, what if this pretty UI does not show up for you. What could possibly go wrong here?

1. You don't have the correct version of card space bits on your box. Go to \windows\system32 directory to see if icardagt.exe is there and check its timestamp is not something stale;

2. Open your process windows to see if you have something stale running already.

The best thing to start with is always event log. Go to Start, type "eventvwr" in the Run window, under the Windows log->Application, its source is Card Space 3.0.0.0.
